hello, everyone:
(new member; first post)
years and years ago (in the '60's), my 'ol man had an ithaca featherlight, and i thought it was the only shotgun made - the .410 bolt action didn't count.
after hitting the broad side of a barn (literally, the outhouse) with a .22, he let me have at it with the 16... my ears were ringing for hours, but i knew i'd fired a real weapon.. wow, what a difference !
thirty years later, i tried a single bore 12 - sore shoulder, deaf in both ears, not fun and a SxS 20 - yawn. i was hooked on 16's.
long story short, he died, i lost track of everything - the .22, .410, the 16 and the 20.
i just hope it isn't too late (they might be with a bunch of NY'ers)..
happy days,
~DG~
*presently i have only black powder f/a - .58 murray, .454 lemat, etc.
