There aren't many 16 ga 375s on the market, but 12 ga models are pretty common, and the die set for 16 ga fits into the same toolhead- some of the parts are the same (the crimp starter, the powder/shot drop tube and I think even the wad guide is the same. The main differences are the shell holder die, the fial crimp die and the ejection die. these can be obtained directly from PW, and if you are a hunter education instructor you get a discount. |

RJT.
If you are reloading light loads the PW will dish your crimps due to the way the shells are ejected from the shell holder. |

Not if the press is adjusted correctly and the load has the proper internal height. |

If the stack height is correct.
And when I can find the DR16 again the stack height will be correct. Till then I will have dished crimps. Or we can comment on over shot cards and/or cheerios. But with both I can and do get dished crimps.
It is just the nature of the beast with the way the PW resizes. Or I can take some steel wool and polish/open up the shell holder. Which really defeats the act of resizing. |

I don't see that having a shot column too short for the shell which results in a dished crimp is the fault of the press. I guess a MEC won't dish it, but then you'll have shot rattling around in the shell. as Bogart said: you pays your money and you takes your pick. |

Older models use a push rod but now a tapered crimp ejector is used thats puts the force on the shoulder of the hull not on the crimp. a new set of tooling will have the ejector to change a 12 to a 16 you need a die, a crimper and the ejector. Call PW and they can set you up. |

Best bet is buy a 375 in 12ga and then add 16 dies to it.
I have a 375 16 setup for 20 & 16 |
