Thinking about it. Only sxs I have are 16 ga @ 51/2 lbs & a 28 ga BobWhite.

I am not a "hot enough" shot to hit much at clays with the 28. Shooting 50 - 100 rounds thru the 16 will make the eyes water.

Just hold that Marlin 90 sideways. No one will notice.

FourTrax, just being there is the best. It's a great venue. If you haven't been to one of these, you need to go. And you have no excuse because you live quite close, as I recall. It's a bundle of fun, and you'll see some neat guns and meet some great folks. Not a "hot shot"? None of us are. We all miss a lot of targets. A 28 is not much of a handicap there, really, unless you are a 80% plus sporties shooter, and while there might be some there, I didn't see any.

See You,
Tony Lowe

Fourtrax,
I'm sure we can find you a gun to shoot if you want to come. You could shoot mine, but my LOP is a wee bit long for you. Or, this presents the perfect opportunity to buy a new gun! I'm thinking a nice, used Fox 12 gauge. Heavy enough you could shoot 1 oz factory loads through it and not too expensive. I think Sporting Collectibles always have several in stock. Otherwise I think Puglisi's just down the road has something that would work.

How's your dog's knee?
Regards,
Jeff

You can shoot my merkel 1620 either 16 or 20 gauge although the 16 is tubed
They also have a pump gun event and the new m17 would work nicely

If anyone wishing to attend the DDG shoot hasn't signed up yet they should do so at duluthdoublegun.com as it is nearly at capacity if not already maxxed out. They will try to accomodate everyone.

Timing is indeed everything. I'll be in Duluth next weekend for a wedding. It would have been fun to mix business with pleasure. How hard is it to get in to the big gunshop there (Puglisi's)? Will I need to make an appointment?
