When I 1st started reloading I made up some shells that had some very poor crimps (dished to light). I finally got around to playing around with shooting these ugly things at milk jugs full of water.
Out of roughly 50 shells I had 2 failed, the rest served their purpose out of a 2002 870 express with synthetic stock.
The 2 failure both resulted in stuck wads. Upon review, powder migration seemed to be caused by a lack of seal due to light crimps. |
