BPI posted similar loads with their SG16 wad. I wanted to find out how the DR-16 wad would perform.

Maybe these ultra fast loads might help my deteriorating skeet shooting skills. Lately, it seems like I shoot and then can break for lunch while waiting for something to happen to the target. Sad

WOW, 26 grains of Green Dot- that may be more than I care to burn at one squeeze.

A laser beam for doves and trap targets. Little lead needed.

Using such a load seems like a good way to compromise shooting technique. Point being that once you become accustomed to the shorter leads, going back to standard ammo will likely result in a lot of shooting behind the target followed by poor confidence and frustration. The super hi vel. loads make a great bandaid during a rough day, but can lead to reinforcing bad habits.
It is cool to see those numbers though.

Old news, IFL-16 and have been there done that back in 09.

5\8 oz #9's with a bit of choke is what I have used on Everything since 09 , 3\4 oz in cylinder bore with those same #9's.

Larry developed a 1\2 oz load @ 1900+ fps. One day I will tell what Woodcock said about this load when used in Canada on Partridge.

The DR will hold up to 2400 fps don't worry.

Regards , Nick

Very hot loads. Those pressures are wicked high.
