This may sound silly, but do you have to break the slits in the DR 16 wad when loading or will they open when they are fired. I noticed a few of the the tabs on spent wads were not split.

| according to Nick the inventor , the slits are a mass loading feature . They do not have to be opened and they do not necessarily open on firing . Does not affect patterns . I usually po one slit just to make it easier to get it on the loading ram . |
