One of my sons had his awards ceremony for his Jr. High/Highschool Trap Teams last night. They also had a Fun shoot event so "Dad" got to bring the old SxS along since I now had some suitable ammo for it (A big thanks to the lowpressure reloading group for that )
Chris, my son, wanted to try shooting doubles and of course insisted I try with him. Now I have only shot 2 rounds of trap and never shot doubles. But I was well pleased when my first shot out of the old double broke the rock even if the second shot (and far too many of the others) missed. I had a good time shooting with my son, and he can't say he outshot me because they weren't keeping score.
My wife and I even had a good laugh out of a comment from one of the kids. He was talking about how really "old" this one shotgun was, said it was atleast 20 years old I sure don't want him telling ME what is old. |
