I just wanted to tap our experience pool for some feedback on migration issues with the following combos:
1. Herco - Fed or Cheddite Hulls - Rem SP16 wads?
2. Unique - Fed or Cheddite Hulls - Rem SP16 wads?
3. Herco - Fed or Cheddite Hulls - CB100 wads?
4. Unique - Fed or Cheddite Hulls - CB100 wads?
Both powders claim to be larger flakes, but I have not heard as much experience with these combos as I have heard success using 800X, Blue Dot, Green Dot, Red Dot with the same hulls/wads.
5. On a similar note, I recently came into some Winchester CF hulls. Are they better for use with the smaller wads (CB100 or SP16 or CB078) or the larger wads (SG16 or VP80 or Z16 or DR16)? From what I've read in the past I would tend to believe they are better hulls for the SP and CB products.
6. On a last question, I notice much of our load data for Herco is dated. Has anyone done some of their own load data not included in the LPG or oldhunter's list they would share? |

The Dr16 is a good fit in the CF and Remingtons hulls . Sg16, Vp80 are not , never tried the Z wad but suspect it would be tight .
As far as the powder combos , never tried them so can't help you there. |

general rule : rem / AA cases , rem sp and cb wads are better ... chedd /fed cases , SG and DR's are better ... However , the powders you've chosen will probably allow any of the wad combos . You'll find lots of loads for SP wads . Ball powders would be bad , any smaller flake powders could be bad with chedds and SP's . I had a doozey with nitro 100 and sp's in Fio cases - never saw it coming 2 miles out on the prarie - coulda been bad !! Tha Allianrt line of dots and unique/herko are safer combos . |

I've loaded 1000's of shells w/Unique and Herco w/those wads--no migration problems. |
