Yes I have shot them. To me they work better for 1oz. load.

I agree with Hoashooter. I use them as my 7/8 oz wad for RGL stuffed with International Clays and a Win 209 primer. I would assume they would be ideal for Winchester CF as well, just never tried it.

I'd also assume they would be okay in straight hulls too assuming your using a felt or paper filler and a powder with some volume that is also large enough to avoid migration (say maybe Green Dot). I'd bet our local Green Dot fan (Mike Campbell) might be able to help. Using his previous principles I'd get 17.7 of Green Dot in a straight hull with say a under shot 20 ga card tested for speed and pressure.

THIS WAD crimps ok in a RGL case. I also tried it in Federal,Herters and Win.CF cases, it didn't do so well with them. I had to put a thin over shot card in to get a respectable crimp.One other thing I noticed is that the petals come completely off the base of the wad after firing, however I doubt that that makes any difference after it exits the barrel.
