Are you using the newer polyformed straight walled hull or the old discontinued AA style compression formed hulls?
The data for the two are different and the straight wall hull will likely have powder leakage/ migration issues with the WAA16 or SP16 with ball powder. It has been a long time since I had any 540, but if I recall correctly it was a fine ball powder.
With the old AA style hulls, 540 and the WAA16 wad was a great matchup. |

540 is the same product as HS-6 so HS-6 data will work if the hulls are not one piece then they are Cheddites that were made for Winchester. Data for HS-6 in Cheddite hulls will work in those Win hulls. |
