This would be a good time to stock up---You won't see 'em at this price during the fall of '07 |

I don't know where (at least here) is but our local Dick's always has 16ga Rem Game Loads for $3.99 a box, and an automatic 10% discount if you buy a flat (10 boxes). They just had a newspaper coupon for buy 3 boxes regular price, get 3 more for half price. Those 6 boxes fit nicely in my Harley's saddlebags. |

I just got home from the Dick's in Apex, NC. I bought 11 boxes ( 7.5 shot x 8 and 6 shot x 3 ) for $3.28 per box. I bought all they had and even had them check the back stockroom also. No case discount but I wasn't arguing.... |

Dicks in NJ has the 16ga for $3.99 all the time. Then 10% discount for a flat.
Like stated above, they just had a sale on ammo, buy up to 6 boxes at reg price and you could get another 6 at 1/2 price. It beat the 10% discount by a couple of bucks. I bought 12 boxes even though I didn't need it. |

Hey TJC,
You made out like a bandit!! It was pointed out to me by a gun dept. clerk that before I cart all those heavy ammo boxes up to the checkout register I'd better reread the discount coupon. The fine print said 6 boxes TOTAL. So I put the remainder back on the shelf. |

I just got back from Walmart at Falmouth. Their ammo's been restocked but no 16ga with the exception of some express. The manager said he has no control. Same thing the manager at the OTHER Walmart at Brunswick said. And the same thing the manager said at Dick's in Portland!
I know it's a characteristic of the gauge, but WTFO? It's not like the shells stay on the shelf when they get 'em.
Glad I stocked up last fall/winter. That, combined with reloading at least gives me some breathing room. |

I asked the Mgr. of the dept and he said it was ok to take them the way I did. So I did.
Like I said, I didn't need them (already had 16 or 17 flats) but I figured I get them when I could. I use them for trap and sporting clays. |

FYI, Bass Pro website now has the 3 shot sizes of Rem Game Loads (black hulls) priced at $3.99 per box.
Oh, how I long for the good ol' days when they were $3.69!!! |
