Any opinions on a middle of the road price for once fired WWAA16CF hulls? Not gouging and not unrealistically cheap...just a fair market common price.
Ditto for Federals and Black Remingtons. But I'm mostly curious about the CF.
Thanks |

I bought 300 off gunbroker awhile back and gave .33 cents each and was pretty happy to get them and felt like that was a fair price.
Hope this helps. |

Thanks for the replies.
I have some (don't know how many...guessing maybe a couple hundred at the most). I'm still deciding if I want to keep them or trade them. I'm only interested in 20 ga. old style WWAACF, but haven't decided yet what a fair ratio would be, or if I in fact want to let them go.
I'm pretty much out of the 16 ga. loading business. I only have my Dad's two old low value 16s left, which I never use due to their configurations not suiting my needs. I can't remember the last time I shot them and for what little I will in the future, factory loads will suit me.
I sold my 16 ga. Model 12 and have been shooting a 20 instead.
I'll ponder this some and likely may let them go. I hung onto my sizemaster just in case a dream 16 gun may wander into my life, but now I am getting an itch to simplify my loading room and supplies.
Thanks again for the input. |

I've been buying the loaded shells for $.25 to $.48 each. I've walked away from $.60 each. |

A poster on this board had some once-fired CFs a year or two back, offered for sale. I bid $.40 ea and he didn't even respond as he considered the bid an insult. Later he claimed he got $80 ea. Whether that is true or not----
Since Win no longer makes CF in any gauge, they will all become collectable; or shooters will shift to Remington STS or Federal Gold Medal.
I have some 20s in both the Win AA and Rem STS and I'd consider a trade of 2 20s for 1 16 to be a fair ratio.
Reminds me of the story of the fellow that had a forty year old wife and traded her for two twenty year olds- then learned quickly that he was not wired 2-20. |

If empties are selling for $.33 ea. (a really good price) - .$.80 ea., then what are loaded ones worth? |

At gun shows and face to face I buy anything I can find loaded $12.50 or less (usually $10 to $12 is asking price). My last gun show fielded 200 loaded shells for $40.
I've walked away from a few $15 boxes and $20 boxes. The dealers are typically happy to find someone buying their 16 ga ammo. |
