Hello and first post.
Trying to assemble some light 16a 7/8 or 1 oz loads for shooting Sporting Clays from a 6.5lb Merkel with 2 3/4" Chambers. Been using the 'game/dove' loads but after 100 it seems to beat me up a bit.
I have a fair amount of RST 2.5" Hulls around and would prefer to start reloading with them. Have not been able to find much data for the 16 and Vectan. I will write the powder company but GRAF AND SONS has a big sale on Vectan powder right now (free has mat) and it's some data needed soon in order to get in on the free has mat.
Thoughts?
Thank you

OH,
I did not see a reference to the crimps, folded?
I would also recommend a primer conversion:
Cx 2000 = ched 209
686 = noblesport 686
616 = fio 209
My understanding is fio 615 and cx 1000 are no longer sold in the states. Be careful with the noblesport 686 as I understand a 688 might also be found. |
