Has anyone heard of this name? It appears to be a Belgiun or French gun; I wasn't able to write proof marks down. It is a 16 with short chambers and straight stock. Workmanship appears excellent; the checkering is done very nicely and the engraving is also nicely done. Helico is engraved on the underneath. The gun had swivels and some MORON ground off the swivel on the barrel and plugged the stock swivel. When I Google Helico a bunch of helicopter-related links come up.

The name Helico does not appear on this site http://www.littlegun.be/arme%20belge/a%20a%20artisans%20identifies%20gb.htm listing Belgium makers
If you could post pictures of the brl flats and watertable Ted or Larry could at least identify the proof marks/possibly trade marks.

Instead of Helico could it have been Helice? This one is on GB. 58826981. Funny how it started out in Oregon for $625 (GB #54952294) and now its in NH for $1100. Guess I'm spending too much time on the internet!

Yes, I believe it is Helice rather than Helico. I did not have my glasses with me.

I stand corrected. It is marked Helico and it has St. Etienne proofs. Very nice gun.
