If I had to guess, I could see Browning coming out the a 16ga 725 with the DS tubes before going to a White Lightning with DS since that has been their trend: new models get DS tubes. Just a thought.

Dave,
Stop obsessing about round knobs. Heaven knows where this might lead!

That is my hope. Would love a 725 in 16 gauge!

El Hombre, a 16ga 725 is the only gun that would cause me to part with my 16 White Lightning. I'm crossing my fingers that they will do that, if not this next year perhaps the following!

This began as a new A5 Sweet Sixteen, correct? I like that idea as I have several Winchester 12 ga waterfowlers.

Is it worth crossing our fingers we can order the gun by December 31st and take advantage of the $100 rebate program Browning is having for A5's.

Looks like they are listed on the Lipsey website along with a few other offerings:
https://www.lipseys.com/itemfinder.aspx?mfg=Browning&type=Shotgun&caliber=16+Gauge

Choice of 26" or 28".

Might be time to preorder at you Lipsey affiliated LGS.

Edit / p.s. --- listed doesn't necessarily mean they are "in stock" with Lipsey's.

Well it's an exciting day. My A5 16 gauge with 28" barrel has been placed on back order by my LGS. Now the waiting game begins.

Not much info on it, but it is now officially on their site!

Hopefully there will be a Upland model with a straight grip stock and shorter barrel option sometime. Perhaps a shot show or dealer special?

I was hoping to see a round-knob stock, but it won't prevent me from buying one.

I'd like to see an "ultimate" version, straight stock, or, not.

Do I need one of these? Uh... No Crying or Very sad

Do I want one? Yah Baby! Razz (my 3 1100's will be very sad, not to mention the others who would stay in the safe more)
