I just used the coupon for $20 off on orders over $150 and ordered 3 flats of 8's for my supply shipped to the KC store for no shipping charge. I am going to be in KC in a couple weeks so I can save on shipping and the discount more than paid the sales tax. After reading on this site about the Herter's hulls I bought a flat when I was in Wichita last weekend and was impressed with the ammo. |

Does anyone happen to know what the dram equivalent is on the #8 Dove load is. I am shooting turn of the century doubles and worry about pressure. |

Unless the manufacturer specifically states otherwise, it's best to assume that the shell will produce the maximum allowable pressure for that gauge. |

Does anyone know what the pressure of these factory Herters is?
Currently I shoot them in my newer 16's, then cut them down to 2 1/2 and load low pressure loads to shoot thru old doubles and damascus |

Yes for recoil they are 2 1/2 dram , for pressure they are at max . Not a low pressure load. |

Thanks fn16, kind of what I figured. I shoot the factory shells thru my Rizzini 16, Savage era Sterlingworths, and Ithaca 4E 16--then I cut them down with Byrdog's nifty little tool and load up sweet shooting 3/4 and 7/8 oz 2 1/2" shells for the other guns--love the 7/8 loads, but have been loading and shooting 3/4 oz, and sure is hard to tell the difference. |
