Hanging it up. It's been a great 64 years of shooting in all kinds of disciplines, hunting in various places around the country and meeting terrific people in the process. This website has been the most enjoyable to have been a part of. Thanks to all the friends that have rescued guns and accoutrements looking for new homes. Still a couple of guns for disposal. Will make a post when that time comes.

Selling a complete Better Shot Maker setup including about a ton of wheel weights. Must be picked up in Minnesota, will not crate and ship. Will not sell off the setup piece meal. It's all or nothing. If it doesn't sell I'll dump it in the swamp.

Two BSM with 7 drippers each - some double drippers, 10 gallons non-tox antifreeze. extra 50-75 replacement single drippers for 7.5, 8 and 8.5 shot, custom made 14 gallon capacity cooling tank with recirculating system, remote coolant radiator cooling tank, 2 shot catch baskets and engineered shot catchers, washed shot drying baskets, shot screening boxes, leather apron and gloves, various tools. Two lead melting propane heaters with cast iron pots, several ingot molds. New propane heater, two propane tanks.

Will add photos to this posting later.

(Forgot how to attach photos. If someone will send me the walkthrough for adding photos, thank you) [/img]

Shocked It would take a semi to transport all that stuff to Texas. Shocked

If I was a few years younger I'd be all over it though.

Getting all the stuff, including the wheel weights in plastic buckets, would indeed take at least a large trailer or long bed pickup truck. This is all gathered over several years but it has to go in one swell foop.

It's been my experience that the average shooter would rather pay $30 for a 25# bag of shot rather than make it for around $5. All the financial geniuses insist on doing math problems with obsolescence, depreciation, value of his labor etc to make a bag of shot and will complain mightily about the cost of $30 retail all in the same conversation.

I nod and remember I have to go to the can.

If you want to e-mail the pics to me, I'll run them through photobucket and post them here. Did you have a price in mind?

Adding up the various items and estimating the volume, I may be possible to get all of the essential parts in an 8' bed pick-up (similar to my '86 F350. and if I place the lead up against the cab, the weight may not be a problem. Now the one major variable- the truck is used only for trips to the mountains for hunting trips and I'm not sure how it would do with a 3000 mile round trip to MN and back. Maybe if I limited driving to 500 miles per day it would be okay. I'd like to pickup on this deal, but then I'd hate to be stranded at Miles City with a blown engine.

Embedded narrative in photo. About 14 of these baskets on hand

All the other equipment listed is self explanatory, I trust.

The price of the complete system and wheel weights – $1,500 picked up in Minnesota.

To put things in perspective, the closing price of lead metal on the exchanges today was 78 cents a pound. (Scrap dealers are paying a lot less, but that's the nature of the business.) You do the math, but with a ton of wheel weights in the deal, Doggai's paying you to take the equipment.

Fly there then rent a van E-350 or the like. The ethyleneglychol (green) should stay then use propoleneglychol (red) which wont kill dogs

Cliff-

If where I am and where I want to go are connected by roads, I refuse to go through air travel. Actually, unless someone buys the outfit out from under me, I'm in the process of borrowing a "snowmobile" trailer and taking a few days for the trip so as not to overload the old F350. I have a doctor's apt in Seattle on Friday and will be talking to my son about the trailer when we meet that evening.

Have at it AM, I showed interest but wont be following through since the delivery I had up in that neck of the woods fell through.

Best of luck with your new toy...

I talked to my son yesterday. He was concerned that the snowmobile trailer would be suitable for the trip and the load. It has small diameter tires and his concern is that it would resemble the side of the road on Memorial day between the city and the lake, ie littered with boat trailers with burnt bearings.

but he did say that he is looking to purchase a surplus military utility trailer, and hoped that I could find one to buy in the MN area, then load it up and go back to WA, sell to him.

Anyone know 1. what he is talking about? 2. where there might be one for sale?
