Does anyone know the pressure on the Cabela's 16ga Herters? Apologize if this has been discussed; I don't visit the ammo forum very often. Thanks. |

Which Herters shells are we talking about the 1 oz or the 1 1/8 oz shells. Obviously the pressure should not be higher on the 1 1/8 oz shells as they would exceed the maximum. If it is the 1 oz load I am a little suprised they would test out that high.

Not to be a smart A$$ but , Not sure why you would be surprised,, as they are under max and not touted as low pressure . that is for the 1oz |

Remember this ammo must also work in gas operated autos so the pressure is kept at the top end of the range to ensure functioning and also clean burning.
The ammo has to fill the bill on all types of shotguns and many folks do not know anything about low pressure ammo for older and more delicate guns.
And pressure and recoil are a bit different
This ammo is 16 Gauge, 2-3/4" , 1 oz., 1,165 fps
