I have the 16 Gauge manual(5th edition), copyrighted 2002. They now have the 8th edition available. Anyone with the newer edition think it is time for me to upgrade? |

The latest manual has newer powders and ITX nontoxic loads. Lots of 1700+ fps light loads if that's your thing.

What Jeff said.
However there are very few 2 1/2" and/or low pressure loads if that's what you are looking for. If you don't care about those, there are lots of other good ones utilizing current wads, hulls, powders...etc. |

Bought one a few years ago and was not impressed. Threw it in with some other stuff sold to 16ga fan. More comfortable working with powder companies published data. |

I had one that I bought 3-4 years ago. I found it close to worthless, so I recycled it. Tried several loads and they did not fit the hull at all.
And it seems they are trying to sell as many different components as possible by adding them to their recipes. |

A good resource for commonly available components is any of the powder company websites. For low pressure, the low pressure group is valuable. I have BP's Advantages Manual for all gauges and it is centered on using components available from BP. Gil |
