I did some trading (my Rios, for his Remington). In the batch I received there were about 10 Remington/Peters Black Hulls with a 8 point crimp. What a nice hull wish the whole bunch were them. Perfect crimp. What time frame were they made in? |

I also got some in a trade along with some with some 6 pt crimp, both load great. I am testing the 6pt to see how many reloads I can get, so far 4 and they are just starting to show small cracks in the crimp folds. Also got some 8pt crimped mohawk black hulls, they look just like the rem pet hulls. |

I got some Peters made in the mid-nineties that were very similar to the current STS. they had 8 pt crimps and were blue- left over from when Peters made Blue Magic. My guess is that Peters had the same formula for the shells but switched to black when they ran out of blue- and started making ones such as yours- likely about 1998 or 1999. |
