For information only. I do not know the seller or have any interest in the gun.

Way over priced.

I saw one just like it a few weeks ago for $200.

When I picked it up it still felt like a boat paddle in my hands no matter how cheap.

Yes, some folks do have unrealistic expectations when it comes to selling a gun.

I paid 500 Shipped for my Fox B with Vent Rib, beautiful wood, No blemishes, Single trigger and extractors in a 16ga, Next cheapest I saw for same condition of what I have was 800, I would not give 200 for that gun

That is an early Model B as evidenced by the acid etched game scene on the bottom of the receiver as opposed to the line stamped fox head on the later models. While I agree it's overpriced at $1000, when it comes to these guns older is better. I expect it's a livelier gun than the later ones.

Somewhat off topic, but this 20 ga. Marlin Model 90 on Gunbroker listed for $729 is another example of a seller's unrealistic expectations. http://www.gunbroker.com/item/584733470

Compare it with this 20 ga. Model 90 in much better condition with a current bid of $365. http://www.gunbroker.com/item/589772173

IMHO the first one is way over priced, and at this point in the auction, the second one is undervalued at the current bid amount.
