Depends if you want the fix to be functional & attractive or just functional. My go-to elk rifle is a Model 70 338 that a horse rolled-over on while it was in the scabbard. the stock broke through the grip and split through the magazine well and into the forend. I cleaned it up, put some cross-bolts through the grip, magazine well and behind the recoil lug, and epoxied- Brownells I think the whole thing back together. If I get to it, I'll post a picture- but considering the condition it started as, it actually works quite well. However, if you want it to be attractive, Mark Larson can to that and more. |
