This is a beautiful gun! I can attest that the pictures are nice but do this gun justice! You have to see this thing in real life; it is stunningly beautiful and it fits like a dream in the hand. I have zero doubt that Dave (or myself) will shoot this gun lights out at clays or game! |

Someone was looking for an O/U 16 that isn't a Browning. I believe this qualifies rather nicely. By today's pricing standards I would say an outstanding gun for what you paid Dave.
I fear if it were mine that the gorgeous hardwood butt plate would have to be set aside in favor of a pad before I chipped it on a rock while searching out chukars. |

Very nice Dave, thanks for the gun porn. Does it have a double trigger sister or cousin??
Shoot it in good health, |

I'm pretty sure JJ Perodeau could do the conversion if I wanted, but this has such a sweet mechanical trigger I think i'll leave it alone.
I see he has a sweet little 28 ga. C35 like mine in stock with double triggers. Also a neat looking French Helicobloc 16 ga. among other nuggets.

It's a very nice piece! Nicer than my pay grade, but not much more than a new Citori. The owner paid $4500 for it in 2013, and I bought it for something under $2100. It has 27 5/8" (70mm) barrels and weighs 6 3/4 lbs. The chokes are neatly marked under the forearm as "1/4 & 3/4". Despite varying opinions I'm very happy with the weight and handling. This is right in my wheelhouse for my best field shooting, and it will be comfortable at the range. The grips are slim, but it has a little heft which makes for a great shooting 16. These are built on the same triggerplate action as their double rifles, so I'm thinking it will be pretty durable.

That is a hell of a gun for the price you paid. I hope you shoot it well. Beautiful! |

I had no idea!
Who knew?
This is something I did not need to see this morning. Oh my. How temptation rises out of nowhere.
That is one fine looking piece of iron. |

Got a sling for it? I'm getting to where I find slings very useful on smottbores. I do a lot of dog training and slings are handy when I am planting birds, etc.

x2
Not to mention:
*just carrying in the field (cold days you can keep hands in pockets)
*watering the dog
*picking up decoys
*hanging gun in the field
*carrying your dog in an emergency
I have slings on every hunting weapon.

Thanks for the kind words. Like I mentioned, I had mid-weight 16 ga. OU on my bucket list and this one just popped up and pushed all the right buttons. It will see a lot of pheasant hunting and sporting clays. Here's a couple more photos. Pardon the busy background on the first two. I'm reorganizing some ice fishing tackle. (the horror!)
