Some of you might recall that I bought a custom engraved 16 gauge Citori Gran Lightning late last year that is a beauty. I spoke to Ron Reimer (Former Browning Custom Shop Engraver) who did the engraving about how pleased I was with it and that is was beyond all expectations.

The first time I used it I shot it really well and fell in love with it as a tool as much as a work of art.

Well, he happened to have its' twin, consecutively serial numbered, ready to go with the exact pattern engraving. Even the wood looks like they came from matching blanks. When it came available I slept on it overnight but just had to have it and did the deal the next day.

I got it early last week and snapped these pictures in the double leather case they now reside in. The wood is as outstanding as the engraving.

It seemed a little excessive at first but I am glad I did it. Someday I'm going to buy a separate case for each and have them personalized for my two sons. I can't think of a better gift I could give them to remember their crazy old man.

Should be no question about which son got the better gun. That is the most evenly matched pair I've ever seen.

If you happen to come across a third I'm reasonably certain I would be able to make myself available for adoption...my folks would understand....eventually..

That is an amazing remembrance that you will be leaving with them, kudos.

I'm more of a SXS fan, but guns like that could likely change my preference. Lovely guns and a super idea to pass on the legacy of such fine shotguns to your boys.

Double WOW!!!!
I was really impressed with the first gun. Now a matched pair. I don't think we can call these guns Gran Lightnings. Maybe something along the lines of Fantastic Thunderstorms. Enjoy those two. I would like to see them take some birds.
Regards,
Jeff
