Just detailed and lube new M12 prior to use.

the shell doesn't intercept the feeding shell frommagazine and the shell rest against the shell carrier.
What to check and / or correct?

For lube I soak the main assemblies in kerosene and let drip over night then lightly sprayed with LPS #1 lubricant, should I "dust" interior assemblies with fine graphite powder? or something else?

Thanks.

just make sure that the stop is in and popped down correctly - they kinda pop in ... you can't really lube one improperly , EXCEPT , always wipe the receiver shoulder in the receiver(where the bolt locks in ). Do it every couple shots . If it is too lubed , the shell back pressure can wreck havoc with the lock up system .

Mine does that also. I think that's normal. Never had any issues cycling shells.

With M-12s it is not the cartridge cutoff that retains the very next shell in the magazine tube. Rather, the next shell is retained by a projection arising from the bolt bottom and by the shell plate.

The cutoff prevents more than one shell from being delivered to the bolt stop/shellplate. NSSA target shooters would sometimes remove the cutoff from their M-12s b/c there is no need for a cutoff when shooting pairs.

Also, there's no need to push shells past the cutoff as you would with an 870. With practice loading a M-12 is very fast and easy.
