I have the same exact Case knife, without the 16 g society logo, it is a damn fine knife.
Unless you just want to set this knife aside to look at, and say "That's my 16 Ga Society Knife" to your buddies, you might give Case a little business and buy the knife.

THEN, if and when the 16 Ga Society says it is ok to use their logo, you could have it locally engraved. Wink

Yeah, 'cept I don't think they make it anymore.

Hey Dave,

And Dale, you're right: I mainly wanted the knife - the 16ga Society logo would just have been an added bonus. I was already following a couple on the bay; however I found one in stock at an online dealer for about the same or less than it would have cost me at auction, so I'm good. If anyone else is interested, there are a few to be had on ebay (no 16ga logo of course).

You are right, that Case might not still be making that model. I will not trade with ebay because of previous problems.
You can buy the same knife, but with different handle scales at smkw.com. Smokey Mountain Knife works.

I got mine off of Amazon a couple of years ago, and it is really a nice knife.

Anymore, this old man has wised up, if I want something, I check Amazon first, that outfit is amazing IMO. Wink

Maybe they do; I checked their site and didn't see it listed, but I didn't contact them. I checked your link, but if you follow through to where you can order from them it doesn't show up, that I can find anyway. Amazon shows it to be out of stock and they do not know when it will be available (which in my experience with Amazon means never).

Dale, I just scrolled 20 pages of case knives on the site you provided and did not see it; maybe I missed it, or maybe you know something I don't.

Anyway, I found one, so I'm happy!

Chicago, I clicked on that link, then it referred me to a Zippo link, then my computer told me I couldn't access that link.?

Maybe if a guy just called Case with that product number, you might be able to find out for sure what the status of that knife is?

Up to you guys, I have mine! Wink

I have a 16ga knife and I didn’t check the link. I figured the Case website would know what they have......Maybe not.

Sorry,
Mike

Fin2Feather, the knife is listed under Case knives, as a Ducks unlimited model, same knife, but with a different handle. I checked it a half hour ago.

I wouldn't lie to you buddy! Hee, Hee

I'll take your word for it, but I looked and never found it. I'd seen the DU one elsewhere and wasn't interested in it anyway; I wanted the amber bone.

This thing has lead me to think people have knives that they actually don't use. That's a weird concept. What's next, shotguns people don't actually use?? Shocked

Try Deadwood Knives, just Google it and they will pop up.

I've ordered several Case knives from them (yes I use them all) and they've been a top notch organazation. I've seen the Bird hunter in Delrin, Amber Bone, Green Bone, etc.
Last I checked the Case website in December, they were available in a Delrin model, and they were stainless steel.

I have bought knives all my life, I am 74 now, I would say 90% of them I have bought from AG. Russel.com.

They have a great variety of knives, and an unlimited warranty on the knives they sell, if you aren't happy, return it, they will make it right with you.

They also have many "how to" videos that pass on a lot of knowledge.

If you like knives, as I do, give their website an once over.

They are damn fine people to deal with.

Danny, I gave them a quick look, will go through their site in detail further, they look very promising.
Thanks for the heads up. Wink
