This is my first to post. I have been on the site many times, viewing and enjoying all of the information on my favorite gauge. The knowledge in the reloading forum is invaluable, especially for the lighter loads. I shoot almost exclusively 3/4 oz. loads at targets due to the information that has been provided here. I don't hunt birds as much as I used to, but, I enjoy very much reading about and seeing pictures of those fortunate enough to have the time and access to enjoy the outdoors. I can't finish this post without mentioning the pictures of the guns that many of you have posted. Some of them are truly awesome.

bfox -- With a name like that, you should have a B-grade A.H. Fox 16. Do you? Welcome!

Maximumsmoke, I do have 2 Foxes. My favorite is my grandfathers Savage/Fox 16 ga., my other is a field grade Philly 16. Someday, I may get to a B grade. I wanted to name my oldest son Ansley H., but my wife shot that down pretty quickly.

This will probably open a can of worms, but I would submit for debate that an AH Fox or a Fox Sterlingworth is the best value in American made classic shotguns. Well designed, well made and reliable. And of Foxes I think the 16ga is the ultimate because they are all on 20ga frames. I love my 16Ga Sterly. My #1 grouse getter. Ansley H is a fine name.

Caveat: that being said, I do have a soft spot for Elsies.

I must say that wholeheartedly concur. I like Elsies too. However, having one of each now, my Fox is so much livelier in my hands. So much so that the Smith upgrade project still isn't done! Hmmm. Dilemma.
