Hello all,
I made my first post this week in the reloading discussion, but really wanted to take a moment to say hi to everyone on the site. I have been following this wonderful site for nearly a year as I waited for my very first 16 gauge Browning White Lightning to arrive last year. I have really enjoyed this site over the past year and decided it was time to be a part of such an awesome group.
I have enjoyed reading about all of your fine 16 gauge guns, your fun bird hunts, as well as seeing pictures of your adventures. Looking forward to learning much more about the 16 gauge.
The first shotgun I shot as a young boy was my fathers JC Higgins 16 gauge bolt-action; since then I have always had a desire to own one and finally got that opportunity last year. |

Nortwind,
Welcome to our little world. Please feel free to take part in the discussions. New blood, and new ways of thinking, are always good. Now that you've got your Citori what's your next 16 gauge?
Regards,
Jeff |

Welcome Northwind!
That white lightning sounds nice.
My first shotgun was my Grandfather's 16ga Win Model12. It was pretty much all I used for 23 years or so, except my other Grandfather's gun for dove and quail, a 28ga Rem 11-48. So I can well understand the attachment you feel for the 16ga, there's something about your first gun and what you learned to hunt with, especially if it's from a father or grandfather. |

Welcome aboard, saw you other post in Reloading section. Go slow and ask a lot of questions, there is a generous wealth of reloading knowledge visiting this wonderful site, you'll get it.
And anyone who has a 16ga Ithaca, A Bluebill folk art PIECE and Guinness pint on their mantle is OK in my book.
Welcome |
