A5 16? - guy at Browning booth handed my buddy with me a A5 16 which immediately caught my eye. It had scrolling on it. I asked is it was a special model and he told me no, they all come like that. I said bull, got mine this week and there is no scrolling work on it. |

Charlie-what booth are you referring to? Here in Mpls at the Pheasant Fest, the local Browning distributor had one on display that had some Pheasant Forever engraving. Supposedly 200 have been done for PF's banquets. |

Went to the Browning booth and asked if my buddy could see his A5 16 gauge if he had one, said sure do, then handed buddy gun.
I was not paying close enough attention to imprint the scroll work to mind but it had it.
As we walked away my buddy commented "the guy wasn't very knowledgeable about his product". My reply was that they're sales reps and convention staff, can't expect too much. |

Stud Dog:
I'd hold off on having your gun engraved. These aluminum receivers are powder coated and engraving them can be a real mess. Someone tried to engrave one of the 12ga models when they first came out and the finish flaked off when the engraving started. Just what I had read, no,first hand knowledge. |

Black belt. Thanks for the warning. If I try it, I will have an "expert" do the work. My gun is still at the stock guy being fitted to me. I hope to get it back soon. George |

I would say if they manage to hide those hideous screws in the action it would be an improvement. Quite honestly as it stands now they might as well offer matte finish with plastic stock as 'Stalker Model' for less money. That is what I would do. The way things stand now most guys out there would pay a little more and get an O/U instead. |
