NIB with papers, never fired. Torn but only a little bit, think it needs shot.

Supreme II English Ultralight Deluxe. Weighs 5 lbs. 11 oz. a full half pound lighter than my 1949 26" IC 16 ga. And has VR and choke tubes. With some pretty decent wood.

Once again I blame fourtrax for getting me back into the 16 ga! And couldn't be happier for it Very Happy

Cold Iron, that is one outstanding shotgun! Just about the right weight for this old man!

Congratulations.

Dale

Wow. What a beauty. English grip. Svelte all the way around.
It's a "10".

Cold Iron, it's outstanding! With the way you shoot 37's it's a must have. Hope to see it at the SW16 shoot in May.

Shooting 1-1/8 ounce hunting loads is going to be grim. I have a French double 16 that weighs 5/11 and don't shoot more than 1 ounce loads in it. I use it for forest grouse and sharptails as well as my "dog gun" for training with 7/8 once loads

Light loads for target play definitely.

If he's shooting at a grouse or Pheasant ColdIron will never even notice the recoil.

Thank you all for the kind comments, I am truly blessed and extremely lucky.

Ithaca in King Ferry made 500 of these, they don't come up for sale often. The wood on them varied they were all supposed to be like mine but not all were. When this showed up I didn't hesitate and 2 months later another has shown up on Gunbroker very similar. Know nothing about the seller or gun but it has 4 days left: http://www.gunbroker.com/item/625032259

You can bet on it Dave! Hopefully get to shoot with you and Jason before that, still have a bunch of punch tickets left from last fall Cool

Going back to the 16 I have ended up with guns that all have pretty decent wood. I am a sucker for a decent stick of wood. And is a 16.

Started with the 49 Field grade 37 that fourtrax found for me and cleaned up nicely. And put the smack down on ruff last year with it. It is almost identical to my first shotgun in the early 70's but that one wasn't as good looking. She's a looker but I shoot it well Smile

Then a 37RVD showed up

When I went to pick that up a Marlin 90 was on the dealers shelf, and for a 90 had some decent wood so it had to follow me home.

And I already owned a couple of I and B Rizzini's in other gauges so when this F.A.I.R. (NEA 500) with 28" and 30" bbls. showed up had to get it.

Yeah I am blessed and lucky. In some ways anyhow.

Beautiful wood is aways a great bonus. Mine run the gamut from very nice wood to painfully plain.

Looking forward to some clay busting, Mike! Smile

I would get some light RST loads because Ithaca 37s have reputation for stocks cracking at head of stock especially behind the trigger guard. It would be a shame to damage that piece of "honey marble".
