Art , Glad you could use the load , It's a really great load IMO . The wads you have are the 1628 wad exact same wads as the 1632 , only difference the 1628 have the little pins in OP cup .

And that clears that up. Thanks for the pics.
The fingers in the base cup design is so close to the Gualandi designs that I'm betting the same factory that manufactures Gualandi wads also makes these ones. I'm also betting that the production has been outsourced and the factory is in China or somewhere in Southeast Asia. |

Mike , I don't see the connection between the Chedditte wads and the Gualandi wads .
The Ched wads produce alot more pressure than most other 16ga wads , `except maybe the vp80 wads. |

I think these wads are a gift from the 16 gauge gods. They simply show up at the docs in Missouri with no return address. To be honest, I could care less who makes them, Keebler is as good a guess as any! |

I agree 100% here. But the problem we see year after year is all the confusion found in the various published reloading manuals and booklets regarding exactly which imported wad is which. We see the same problem regarding some of the imported hulls as well (especially the imported Cheddite hulls) . As it stands now, a handful of the importer/marketers continue claim their imported offerings are somehow an exclusive by hanging a made up name on them so they can mark the price up above that of the competition (Graf's not being one of these jokers).
We 16 Gauge Society members who reload have become very good at mutually sorting out the imported wad identity problem (again, thanks for the pics fn16ga), but we are not subjected to the same problem regarding the available domestic wads and most of the hulls. Each domestic wad has it's own identity. So I think the best solution for all involved is to simply agree to use a common identity for each imported wad as well. Frankly it's a lot safer IMO.
Why put the customers at risk in order to make a higher profit margin. It's ridiculous and irresponsible IMO. I for one refuse to do business with any of the importer/marketers who follow this questionable practice. But that's just me. |

my old Activ G28's are identical to the BP 16's except for the type of pins ... a bag of (I'm pretty sure) chedds I got thru BP to try out (3/4ozers) said made in Denmark. The original Activs came in both configurations . Mike Campbells shooting buddy has some of them in 20 ga , really need to see the bag for the old manufacturer . They look like Fins pictures if I remember correctly . |
