B Rizzini makes nice guns. I've liked mine. According to their website this is a new model. It also says it is available in 12, 20 and 28 gauge frame sizes so the sixteen is probably on the twelve. Too bad since they do make true 16 frames in other models. I guess it's possibly a typo so if someone was interested it would be worth a call or email. They also list the 16 at 6.4 lbs so even if it is on the 12 frame it's a nice weight for a field 16. That's if the weight is accurate which isn't always the case. |

I've tried both a call and a email to Rizzini and no reply at all, Reeds says the 12, 20, and 16 are all the same frame which I don't think is accurate, one thread on this forum says 20 and another says 12, if I find out I'll post it up. If anyone knows please let me know. |

Sad to report this, but:

According to this recent purchase of a 28" 16 gauge BR110, the weight was 7.5 pounds. Hopefully the light version will be closer to 6 or 6.5 pounds.
Why not just throw a slightly raised rib on it, a high comb stock and call it a sports model! |

Sure sounds like it's built on a 12 gauge frame if it's that heavy. That's even heavy for a 12! |

That would be disappointing to say the least , If I bought a gun that was supposed to be around 6.5lbs and it weighed 7.5 , I would not go out and shoot it , I would send it back. |

I have to agree. Few oz swing either way I'd probably look the other way on.
Full pound difference would be on the way back for a refund.
Hard to imagine they could market it with that much of a difference without a lot of negative feedback from buyers.
I'd have to think majority of people considering that model would do so for hunting and that weight would be a major factor for consideration. Be like buying a 30" sporting model and having it show up with 28" barrels - "Sorry, we just went with what the company listed" ?
Indicated he called them also and yet the 2 remaining on BG are still carrying listings of 6.4lbs. |

Has anyone handled the new Barrett Rutherford made by Fausti? I was thinking about getting one of those. When I called them the gal I spoke to didn't know and then asked someone who said 6.7 lbs. That would be fine if accurate but I'm a little nervous just ordering based on that! PS this is a thread on the Guns forum but I know I rarely look at that one and thought some of you might not either. |
