The 16 gauge ammo is no longer listed on their website and it may not get relisted if this April shipment is all spoken for. You snooze you lose! |

It's not on the site. They are soliciting emails to k.mccormick@aerostarglobal.com with the topic heading "Back order for 16 ga shells" to be put on the wait list. They are getting 2 5/8inch 29gram (1 1/16oz) 6-7-8 shot going 1310 fps. She said they would try to do it again in the fall, and include #5 then. |

Phil, you're on top of things!
I got the same email from Kari confirming my order. I originally ordered 5's and 6's, but will have to wait for fall for the 5's (like Phil mentioned).
I didn't ask about the price, but they used to be about $9/box which is pretty darn good for a premium hunting load. |

I wouldn't mind having a bunch of their hulls. My experience loading them in 12 ga. has been very positive. Thick and tough so far. |

I just got off the phone with Kari McCormick at Aerostar, having ordered a couple flats of #6s. They cost $115 shipped and are available in 6, 7, and 8. She told me that she expects another order closer to fall that will include #5s. The boxes are marked 1 ounce, but the specs and shell cases say 29g--about a 2 percent difference.

In my communication with her she had indicated that the $115/case was for 200 rounds, not 250.
Takes the price per box up over $14 shipped. Not ludicrous by any means for premium ammo, but just wanted to share the info in case it was news to anyone else. |

Thanks for pointing that out. I missed that but I seem to recall hearing these are shipped in flats of eight boxes rather than ten. So it does alter the economics a bit. |

I read the writing on the wall years ago and ordered 10 cases when free shipping was offered. Great shells. I also squirreled away a few cases of 12 gauge High Pheasant, 2 1/2" shells. Prices are higher now. I don't think buying ammo for the future is a bad idea...prices don't seem to go down. |

Thank you for the notice on availability
I picked up another four cases, though I note these appear to be a slightly higher velocity than the twelce cases I got last summer, which probably means they are slightly higher pressure..
I will find out later this summer when I finally get my strain gauge test set up going.
