This one seems to have a fancy piece of wood for a plain old model 31.

Nice figure on 1 side of the stock. His grading system is a lot different than mine. 98% condition?? Not in my book!

Agree it's not 98% condition. Gun also needs a thorough cleaning. It's semi filthy.
Nice shooter condition from what can be seen in the mediocre pix. IMO more like a 75% condition if the bore is shiny. Maybe lower if pix don't sow everything. Price (to me) is too high a starting point.

I would rate the gun between 75-80%. That being said, I can't determine if the gun is filthy, no picture there shows that in my opinion.

The wood is nice, and as Fourtrax has stated, if the bore is shiney,it would make a good shooter.

M-31's are so nice and slick, it is hard to go out and buy a new gun anywhere close to them today.

I would pay no more than $350.00 for the gun. I have a M-31L, not near as nice, that I paid $200.00 for three or four years ago, slickest pump I have, and I have quite a few pumps. Wink

I agree looks dirty and $400 seems too much. But hey if it sells for that it means mine just went up in value.

Most I have seen were choked FULL. Other chokes are harder to find and might make it worth $400.

He'll probably relist at $350 next week.

My experience with Gunbroker is that he will probably resist it for $400 over and over for a year or so before he gives up.

There is a rough but unique Remington model 17 on GB it's got a 32" barrel. Which is certainly rare. However they guy has had it listed for over a year without a bid. I finally sent him a message this week seeing if he had any flexibility on the price of the gun. He responded no way.

Gunbroker is an interesting study in economics and marketing.
