George do you know what web site you saw it at if it was an auction? There are several new ones being made currently both B and I Rizzini guns. I have 2 B. Rizzini guns but in 12 and 2 F.A.I.R. (I. Rizzini) guns, one is a purple cow 16 ga. with 28" and 30" bbls. Love it.
Are you talking about the new B. Rizzini guns though?

Looks like the lower end B. Rizzini guns are not on a true 16 or 20 frame if that is what you were thinking.
I picked up another Toller last week a year and a half old rehome out of Texas. Going to be fun watching him learn pheasants. Nova picked up pretty quick last year. After Sniper passed wanted a brace again so jumped on the chance it doesn't come up often for Tollers. Only a bit more than 4 months away now, more information please and will do what I can for you. And looking forward to seeing you again. And you know how to contact me |

Mike. That's the problem. I can't find the site I saw the gun on. Thought it was a new one. Believe it was an an Athena. I also have a new pup. French Brittany named Biscuit. We are going to Eureka the 27th to re side the house. Looking forward to the fall already. Keep in touch. George |

These are the only 16's I've ever seen by Rizzini that are under 2k (new anyway).
Same gun as in that other post I started that was linked above.
Never held one but as stated they don't seem to be on a 16 frame and are heavy.
The other rizzini 16's I've seen all seem to start at around 2,300 and go up from there (aurum, omnium, jubilee, FAIR sxs, etc).
I'm not sure there was ever an Athena in 16ga. Maybe you were thinking Aurum?
Hope any of this is helpful. Good luck in your search.

Trip. You are probably right. Sometimes my brain & fingers get mixed up. Again, I thought the one I had found was on a 16 ga. frame. Think I'll call a dealer & see what's available. Thanks. |

I've checked all the usual sties and couldn't find anything currently available at that price. You should be able to pick up an older NEA I. Rizzini for that price point. If one was for sale which I don't see. Good luck George if I see something come up I will let you know. |

LOL George when you make up your mind look out! I think you will be happy with that gun.
And I agree just picked up another 16 ga. an Ithaca 37 last night on gunbroker. And today had Cabelas transfer another Ithaca 37 to a Cabelas near me but that one is a 20 ga. Ultralight deerslayer, kind of a rare bird. But still cheaper than the 16 ga. 37RD I just bought. $25 for Cabelas to ship store to store and right now 10% off so you should be able to get that gun for $1,800. I'm going to ask for the additional 5% military discount on mine also. |

YES! If that is all the 16's you have, it's just a mild addiction at this stage. You will love when it blossoms into it's full mature form.
P.S. there are worse things! |

Becoming quite frustrated with my quest for a Rizzini. 16 Ga. Cabelas shipped one up from Glendale to the Prairie Du Chien store. Rizzini advertises them at 6.4 lbs. This one was 7.5 lbs. Really nice shotgun but too heavy. Pretty much locked in on a Rizzini. Have a dealer going to weigh some for me. Hoping for the best. Mike. could use your help. Thanks |
