Gentlemen,
Some questions about roll crimping 2 3/4 & 2 1/2 inch hulls. I am new at this one.
Which RTO is better? Precision/BPI and why please?
How much space do you typically leave at the top once the shot is added?
What type of over shot cards do you recommend and why please? (thin overshot or thin nitro cards)?
Do you recommend waterproofing them and with what?
Thanks for the help. |

The tools I use are Precision Reloading's . they have 3 turners instead of one. They produce nice crimps. The best are GEAP made in Italy they are around $75.00 ea .
Leave 5/16" for the role I use a stirrup punch to cut disks of card from primer sleeves for the over shot cards.
Only seal if its steel
Do you need a hull cutter? |

Thanks for the info sir. I really appreciate it. Yes, I could use a hull cutter too. Which one do you recommend? Does someone on here manufacture them?
Again, thanks for the information.

I have 12 and 16 gauge Precision roll crimpers for sale as well as 16 ga blocks. Was going to put them in a package deal but will sell seperately. PM me if interested. |

I have a Precision 16 ga roll crimper inbound from Precision. Don't load the 12 anymore but thanks for offering though. I really appreciate the help. |

If you can find a vintage hand cranked roll crimper, do so. They work well and don't take up as much space as a drill press. I've bought .410, 28, 24, 16, 20 and 12 gauge from France on ebay.fr search "sertisseur". Gil |
