If your reloading was limited to three or maybe four 16ga plastic hulls types what hulls would you pick?

I am trying to decide what to keep and what to let go of.

The plastic hulls are in addition to the RMC brass and Paper hulls which I will keep on hand and primarily use.

I only use Rem and trade off any others I get.

I keep Remingtons, and have had a hard time just throwing out the Herters. I am currently reloading them a couple times and then throwing them out. If Cabelas keeps raising the price of Herters, I may relaod them a bit more. My reloading cost is around $4 a box, and wasn't that much of a bargain when I could get new Herters shells for $5 a box. Now it is $6+ on sale and $7 as a regular price.

I like the Remington hulls myself but the hulls that I have are pretty much worn out. I bought seven flats of the Herter's Cheddite loads last year when they were selling them for a good price and they reload great. I will be using the Cheddite hulls from now on since the only place in my area that I can find Remington 16ga loads is at Academy for about $7.99 a box.
In the past I used to buy the Remington Game Loads at Dick's Sporting Goods in KC for $3.99 a box with a discount when I bought by the case which I usually did.

What he said! I have hundreds of the old thick wall Federals I like too. I avoid Fiocchi just so I don't have to deal with the slightly larger primer/ pocket combo complicating my inventory.

First Winchester CF Red
Second Federal Purple
Third Remington Black
Fourth Fiocchi Blue

Yes, I know we were asked for three, but I use all four for different purposes. All are color coded as a result.

1. - Remington
2. - Remington
3. - Remington

The rest go in the dumpster. The only way I would reload more than one type hull is if I had multiple presses set up, one for each hull I used.

Federal s first by a long lead.

Second is Winchester.

Not a fan of Remington GL's, crimp memory is too strong. But I seem to be the only one who dislikes them.

I find the RGL's usually get split necks on the second or third reload and end up being tossed. I like the Winchester Australian game load hulls (Cheddite) and the Herter hulls (purple Cheddites), but all factory crimped hulls seem to split necks at the crimp lines way too early. My best success has been with the new Cheddite hulls loaded on my MEC 9000. The crimps are a bit softer on the folds and don't split on subsequent reloads nearly as often as factory crimps.

In the real world:

1) Cheddite
2) Federal
3) Remington

In dreamland:

1) If Remington hulls were actually made of good plastic
2) Cheddite
3) Winchester CF
