What is a fair price for the following once fired hulls:

16ga Fiocchi

16ga Nobelsport

16ga Black Remington

16ga Green Remington

16ga Win AA (compression)

16ga B&P

A fellow on this board offered some Win CFs a couple years back. I offered $.40 each. He didn't even acknowledge the bid, later claiming that he got $.80 ea for them. so hard telling what you could get for them.

$80 per 100?! Egad, I like Win CF's but not at that level. Was that a typo?

No typo, that's what he said. I thought my bid of $10/box was pretty outrageous, but I was only halfway there.

Fiocchi $.02
Nobelsport $.02
Black Remington $.04
Winchester CF $.05
B&P $.02

IMHO

I personally think we pay too much for hulls

$.10 is OK for new primed

Anything over $.05 for a once fired hull is on my limit. I have paid that much or a little more but.......

A penny or two...maybe. I know of no way of verifying how many firings a hull has sustained.

I would pay $.05 for once fired 16 gauge AA if I could find them, but no more then $.02 for Remington Black.

If that's once-fired, I recommend backing off the powder by about half! Will probably need filler then. Wink

Trim that AA down to 1 1/2" and it should be good for several more firings - in your 1 1/2" chambered 16 ga. Wink Wink

I do not appreciate the seeming intent of the humor.

When I say once fired I mean it and I am good to my word.

This is what a once fired AA actually looks like and hundreds below it in one of my bins. And not for sale for what those here think they are worth as they are worth more to me

The acceptable exchange rate for AA hulls noted by a few on this site seems to be $.05 each. Since the poster considers them to be worth more than $.05 and he has a binfull of them, then I'd say he is a happy man. I'm not sure why he was wondering what we thought they were worth. But if he took offense at anything I posted, I am certainly sorry as no malice was intended.

No offense on the valuation, things are worth what people are willing to pay and people are willing to accept.

the photo appeared to imply my statement about once fired was false. I post to show when I asked the question it was in good faith and not a gesture of fancy.

The last lot of cf hulls I purchased off gb I paid $.35 per hull and was very happy to have purchased them. A lot of guys say that is to much to pay but I work very hard for my money. If spending a little to much for something I love and enjoy is wrong then so be it. They are not making any more of them and they make me smile when I pull them out of my pocket while shooting sporting clays and trap. So they are worth every penny.
