LGS has 5 boxes for RGL in 7 1/2 and 5 in 8s.

That was the good news

Bad news was $12.99 per box

They are still on the shelf in Charlotte if anyone is interested.

Regards

RE availability of 16 GA ammo.

Visit your local Bass Pro Shop, they're usually a good source for Remington Game Loads.

Cabela's is good for spot quantities of Herter's loads, but you can't count on them being there.

Your other options are either Polywad (spreader ammo), or RST - they have a nice smorgasbord of 16 GA ammo./

That's my only complaint about shooting 16 GA - is lack of availability of ammo.

So do what I do and stock up, worst part about that is finding a place to store it - so I bought a number of clear plastic storage bins that fit under our bed, and the bed in the guest room too.

My local Walmart normally has 10 or 12 boxes of federal 1 oz #6's $7.94 a box and $14.95 a box RGL 1-1/8oz #6's on hand. I was at a local feed and ranch supply store yesterday and noticed a stack of browning 1oz #8 16 gauge for $17.99 a box. Has anyone reloaded the browning yet, or know what hull it uses?

Preston

The Browning looks like it is a Winchester with shiny, slick black plastic. The box says made in Australia just like the Winchesters do. Internally they look and measure exactly the same.

I am getting more reloads out of the Winchester/Cheddites than any other currently made hull. Wish the Brownings weren't so darn expensive! Crying or Very sad The local Sportmans Warehouse wants $14 for the Browning 1 oz. load Shocked Walmart has the Winchesters for $9.17.
