I got out for two days on the 18th and 19th and then closed up camp and came home with the weather headed into the mid to high 80’s. Combined with the humidity too hard on dogs and me. It is supposed to cool off Wed and I am headed back to open camp for a second time. Earlier I saw lots of woodcock and the season wasn’t open. We moved a handful of grouse and I never pulled the trigger, but I did get some really nice points.

Good Hunting,
Mike

Real hot here in Pa also, way to hard on the dogs even to train right now.

has been close to 90 for several days here now, but that same cold front should come thru here also in a couple of days. Leavung for the UP on Wed Oct 18 and staying til Nov 4.
Maybe I should change name to 4 bird dogs, as I had a litter of puppies this summer and kept 2 females--I now have 4 female Eng setters, whew, the puppies are keeping me busy.
Also picked up a beautiful O frame Parker 16 ga Grade O hammer gun with beautiful 26" twist barrels redone by Bachhelder. Need to post some pics for everyone to see--I now have a 12, 16, and 20 ga hammer gun, and love to shoot them.
Save a few birds for me Mike, and Good Hunting!!
