Navets volants. Well that’s what the English to French online translator yielded for “flying turnips”. However when Navets volants was reversed into a translator, it became “steering wheel stinker” in one version, “flying parsnips” in another. Is it possible that the Parker engraver “ex-patriated” to France? . 16 gauge, 70 cm (27.5”) barrels, cyl/xf, fully swamped. 5 lbs., 14.4 oz. with the soon to be removed pachyderm foot pad for a recoil pad. It's 14" LOP to the end of wood--stock uncut. And Bugs Bunny’s dog? Don’t just stand there and point! Get the damn duck! While not the refined, exquisite engraving on canvasback’s 12 ga. Ideal 6EE appearing in a post earlier this year, it appeals to me and is more than appropriate for my lower grade 302/2 extractor model made in the mid-1930’s. I am quite pleased with it. Gil

Really like "her" svelte, little round body. Would be a "sweet carry."

Very very nice!

Very neat gun, Gil. The Frenchies make interesting guns. I'd certainly enjoy one and/or a Darne.

Thanks, Dave. I, too, have a fondness for French guns. Also Turkish, German, Scot, English, American, Italian and so on. Wink French guns can be an outstanding value. There aren't many here compared with guns from other countries. The French didn't aggressively market their guns for the US markets (Stoeger imported Darnes as did Ted) compared with other countries (or so it seems). Manufrance sold a heap of Robusts in France and its colonies, over 800,000, but it is rare to see them around here. Gil
