| I have a Savage Fox Sterlingworth, 16 gauge. It chokes full, modified. Should the barrels be a full 26"? They seem to measure in the 25 1/2" range. Since it chokes what it does I would not think the barrels would have been cut and they don't appear to have, but I am no expert. Thanks for any info. |

PHE,
Obviously the gun is completely ruined....somehow they managed to tighten the choke when they shortened the barrels, must be an over bored 20ga...
Solution is simple. Package it up and send it north, I'll take care of it. At best I'll get 20bucks for it in parts. You don't want a white elephant like that down south, people will think your not quite right.
Let me know what the shipping is and I'll split it with you. I'll send the check after it arrives. |

| FWIW, I have five Savage-era Fox doubles in my collection that letter as 26-inch barrel guns. Three are dead on 26-inch, one is 25 15/16 inch and an A-Grade 20-gauge is 25 7/8 inch. |
