Last Friday was a phenominal day with 8 woodcock taken between 3 Fox 16 gauge gunners. I was lucky enough to take a Timberdoodle limit.

I was using my 16 gauge XE Sterlingworth upgrade that is choked IC/IC. For shells, I was using RST lights in 7.5.
My friends were using Sterlingworth's, one a Philly gun and the other a Utica, both Mod/Full.
Below is me with the Sterlingworth/XE upgrade.

I'll be following the migration to Maryland in a week or so pending reports on numbers. One last outing of the year should be great.
As far as the XE goes, I got from a fellow Fox collector that got it in Michigan so information on who did the work is not available. When he bought it he had the wood upgraded but all the metal work was already done so I was told.

Is that a local brew? Where did you get that?
Great hunt, I love my 16 A grade, and also have 2 SW 16's. |

That brew was craft made by our guide for the day. He had the labels custom made as well.
Part of the ritual is to have a wee glass after the hunt while shooting the breeze and taking pictures. |

I can't think of a better hunt. 16 gauge Fox's, some doodles and a craft beer. That my friends is a good day. Only thing missing is a real good looking bird dog. The Fox is beautiful. |
