BPI now has 15g/cc shot only in #7, 221 pellets/oz, $150 5lbs $37 1lbs. Special offer on shipping $4.
I did some playing with numbers and while per pound it is more expensive than HW13 #6. If you compare the number of pellets per shell it is almost the same cost per pellet as HW13 #6

Can someone with a ballistic calculator run some numbers on HW13 #6 vs 15g/cc #7? Thanks in advance

Does, anyone know how hard this new 15g/cc shot is and what barrels and what chokes it's safe to shoot out of?
Thanks,
Lon |

It's composed of tungsten/iron/copper/nickel, so I'm assuming you'd use wads suitable for steel/tungsten, and steel shot compatible chokes |

The 2# I ordered from BPI arrived yesterday. The pellets appeared to be uniformly spherical and those I weighed were between 1.8 and 2.1 grains each. The one oz. I took the trouble to carefully count out was 227 pellets. They can be picked up with a magnet (thankfully).
