There is a 16ga M37 on the Gun Auction site. Auction number 13708960. Has a 26" IC vent rib barrel. I believe the stock configuration was one of the upgraded models. HOWEVER there is a repaired crack that extends back from the receiver right through the pistol grip. Metal is a little rough. Probably make a good shooter. The guy is asking $450.00 and considering the stock, I'd find the price a little steep.
I'd search Gun Brokers as well. They usually have a hand full of M37s in 16ga. Vent rib barrels with more open chokes are pretty scarce.

Welcome Popguns, a man after my own heart. They do show up from time to time I have a 37RVD in 16 ga. that I stumbled on. Most people don't know what they are and on the auction sites they seldom list them as such. So have to pretty much weed through all 37's listed in 16 ga. I picked up a prewar 37R that way too. I have bid on 16 ga. 37RD several times but they get pretty high if they are listed as such and I have ended up dropping out eventually.
I can't pass a pawn shop or small town gun shop without stopping to look. Just in case.
Sorry not for sale but if it helps keep you looking here is my 37RVD . And well worth it IMO.
Now if I could only find 16 ga. prewar 37T and 37S in mint condition I'd be a happy man! Oh wait there are a few 16 ga. Supreme 37's out there too, and 37RD, and....
I wish you the best in your search and that your bell rings soon! |
