I was given a bunch of Winchester Super X hulls, and am wondering which set of reloading data I should use. The hulls are red and ribbed with a white plastic basewad. I see that some of the Winchester hulls are actually Cheddite, but these don't have the usual stars on the brass. They do look very similar to Cheddites. Any ideas what type of hulls these are?

I have always heard they are Cheddites and load mine as such. I have compared them to the Herters Cheddite and they appear to be identical in every way and dimension. They are good hulls and I get 7-8 reloads out of them where the Herters are only good for 3-4 reloads.

Wish we could buy them for the same price as the Herters. Confused

Ditto in every aspect, very good hulls w/outstanding longevity, load same as Ched hulls.

The hulls OP has pictured are Cheddites as was stated use Cheddite hull data, if you have the box they came in look on the side panel if it says Made in Australia then they are Cheddites. the Winchester Polyformed hull data was for Made in USA Winchester hulls usually they are Uplands in a white box and the side panel will say Made in USA.

Thank you for the help. I don't have the boxes, but I feel confident enough that they are the same as the Cheddites that I have on hand. I loaded a few test shells last night, and they load better than anything I have used so far. If only they were purple...

As stated: Cheddites. Not to be confused with the old paper base wad "Polyformed" from the '60's. The Cheddite type make surprisingly good reloads for me.
