TIP UP !!!!

Loved listening to the Packers on a transistor radio., and wearing hockey skates, and ice fishing all at the same time.

And we would skate over to the island sometime to shoot a rabbit for a quick meal in the ice shanty.

Getting in some of that same action here, even Rusty's into it. Winter isn't so bad if you know what to do with it!

Dandies!

A couple weeks ago I brought home 15 nice bluegills, and I knew I was going back out in the morning so I put them in a snow bank by the garage. While I was cleaning the kennel that night I got a phone call and lost my eye on the dogs for a few minutes. Well here comes Zeb chewing something and I’m saying “What are you eating now?” Then I see the guts of a bluegill hanging down. Those sons of bitches (2 males) ate 10 of the 15 bluegills!!

Been having great fun ice fishing this year. Nice solid ice and decent weather.
Got into a mixed bag last week. Good eats.

Dave, it's a tungsten head damselfly nymph I made to match what the bass and perch are eating in the lake. Fishing them right on the weed edge. Heading out again tomorrow, the program has been working for a month. I had a lot of "jig and blast" days at the end of bird season too.

A pike as big as a man's leg and a football-sized bass. Nice fish, guys. Gil

Nice looking jig. I've had good luck this year with the VMC Ice Fly on bluegills, and the perch like it, too.

Rudy, that's a fun mixed bag with the gils, "gruppies" and bonus eye. What was the hot bait?

Those pike look like they should be growling at you when they're brought up. Nice fish!

Hi Dave,

Old school Moon Glitter and Rat Finkies with a chartruse plastic wedge. I have also been drinking the tungsten "cool aid", but still go back to what has worked for years.
