Cabelas in Wheeling has a 1898C Marlin 16 ga. listed in their gun library. Anyone have any information or comments? The price seems high, however, the gun appears to be in good shape. |

Attractive engraving with excellent wood. That would be a good one to get factory letter information on from Cody. From the amount of screw heads seen in the pictures it probably is a more complex design than it needs to be, thus explaining a short production life(1898-1905). Still a really interesting gun for the 16 ga. collection. Top value in the Blue Book is $1760 on a 100% gun. |
