How much do the 28”16 DT no middle rib guns typically weight. Have a chance to buy one and kinda see them as affordable alternative to the Merkel DT o/u.
Thanks

Might hold out for 26” if weight is your game. I have a ic/m and a m/f both in 26”. Both the later rib style, but 1 is pull off forearm and other latched. Pretty sure the pull off model is just around 6 pounds. The other is slightly heavier, but then again my lop is around 13-3/4 to 13-7/8.

Your right , latch guns are 4 oz heavier than spring clip guns.

Not too many 26" barrels out there , wonderful guns indeed.

One will have a very hard time besting a good Marlin 90 .

I saw a nice Model 90DT, 26" barrels, latch forearm on consignment at a local gun store in Toano, VA . Seller wants $595 but would entertain offers since it has been on the shelf for a long time. Not sure if the Owner ships out of state but if you are interested call or email Don at Toano General Gun Store, 7960 Richmond Road, 757-566-3696. Email: tg556mm@gmail.com. Tell him Barry told you about it.

26” barrels were typically choked IC/Mod.
