16 ga. O Grade S#66151, DOM 1911, 28" barrel, appears to be steel,
It's a more desirable pre-1913 Hunter Arms LC and BTW: I paid about 3X Ed's current bid for my 1911 OO 16 (a lower grade, but then it had incredible wood Rolling Eyes

) Just be sure you get a 3 day inspection.

Very, very tempting. I may have to scramble for this one. Mind is racing right now as to where I will get the funds without the wife knowing. Hmmm....credit card? maybe Shocked

Guy just posted on DoubleGunBBS that he e-mailed the seller and it has damascus brls.

No way!! I havent seen any LC Smith that looked like that one with Damascus. Somebody's up to somethin here - smells fishy

I agree jig and the seller first thought it was a 20g Rolling Eyes

maybe folks are creating confusion/diversion or red herrings for us all to chase while they are getting this gun for a price that will enable them to make a nice profit. I have been following the bidding and so far its a dealer war.

I know I could win this gun if I play it right - just not quite sure if I want it since I just got a Sterly that I'd rather put the money into to make one of the prettiest Sterly's ever. LC's are alright, but I like Fox's and Parkers better. Guess i'm more of a boxlock guy when it's all said and done.

Wow, sold it fast, was it ever confirmed as a 16 ga?

That might be a wonderful gun for less than $1000 and the seller did add a statement that it was a 16. At least ol' Ed didn't get his torch on her Very Happy

I wish I had seen this one earlier. The seller lives only a 2 hour drive from my house. I could have driven down and looked at it before it sold. They told me it was a 16 with Damascus barrels weighing approx. 6 lbs. using a bathroom scale and before and after weight with and without the gun in hand.
